Mclaren 570s APR rear wing

Vivid Racing's owners McLaren570s is nothing short of a super car. One which badly needed a large carbon fiber wing to compliment its abilities on the road. We partnered with APR for the wing foil and developed a replacement cross bracket and pedestal system which allows the wing to be adjust up to 15 degrees of rake. 

Digitally scanned OEM engine cover cross bracket and altered the design to link back into the sub-frame creating one of the strongest mounting points for a large wing design. 

 

Mclaren 570s GT4 style wing

With the previous success of our initial Mclaren wing, we decided to take our design even further by offering a different foil shape designed specifically for the McLaren 570. 

Referencing the rear lines of the vehicle, we swept the same wing profile used on our initial design along the curves of the rear bumper. We even took the product a step further and created a 3D printed trim template to make sure you don't screw up trimming your $150k supercar.

IND Distribution needed assistance taking their ideas and bringing them to life faster. I helped with the designs for an entire aero package for the BMW M2. Entire package included a front lip, replacement M4 style roof, and rear trunk spoiler. Took the final designs and developed the master patterns which were used on all molds.

We had the front bumper, roof, and rear trunk lid digitally scanned so the mating surfaces of each product would lay exactly on the OEM body parts. Machined and had SLA patterns made for the final FRP molds.

With the success of the RPK aero package, IND reached out about a year later to develop a new front lip based of the Moto GP concept. Existing winglets were scanned and digitized and blended together into a single piece front lip. This system mounts with the same parts from the original RPK front lip as well.


 

INTAKE SYSTEMS

 
 

Subaru BRZ / Toyota FRS

Subaru BRZ / Toyota FRS has been a platform which has exploded with aftermarket parts available for them. This cold air intake is easily one of the top contenders in its category. Both the intake box and tube are rotational molded to help keep internal temperatures down compared to an aluminum intake or open air intake.

 

Ford Raptor

We started this project by referencing existing competitor products, and taking some of the better features of each and combining them into our final design. Rotational molded tube and box help keep the temperatures down. Installing this kit allows for more airflow into the engine, cooler operating temperatures, and more horsepower and torque.

 

bmw M3 / M4

This intake was built to be seen while most intake systems are hidden inside the engine bay. This kit positions the intake filter right up in the front of the car getting the cleanest, most direct air source.

Valvetronic Exhaust

Dual tipped valve-tronic exhaust designed to improve airflow and gain HP. Exhaust comes with a switch activated valve which can open/close one of the tips bypassing the muffler and creating a deep mean straight through exhaust tone.

Took initial concept into prototype for fitment. Digitally scanned and refined system for optimal flow. Created cut and weld fixtures for fabrication. 

 

Cold air intake

The stock intake on the X3 is tucked behind the back seats and has a single entrance point for clean fresh air. We changed that by bringing a much larger oval style filter outside of the car but still under and debris cover. We got rid of the restrictive accordion style tubing and replaced it with mandrel bend tubing for increased airflow and more power. 

 

Modular Gauge pod

Aftermarket gauges have been added to vehicles since they started modifying them. Why wouldn't the UTV market be any different. We were able to create a simple bracket system which bolts into the same location as the dash cluster. The gauge holders were designed as either single or dual pods can be fastened to the bracket in 60 degree variations for complete control of the cockpit setup. 

 

OEM replacement Grille

The UTV world is is either utility or flash with some slight combination of the two. Replacing the front grille offers the user to personally add pops of color to an ordinary plain black plastic front end. A couple pieces of hardware and spacers make this product one of the easiest pieces to install.

Valvetronic Exhaust

For those who want to show off in front of your friends, this RZR exhaust is just what you need. With the push of a button, you can open or close the bypass valve allowing your exhaust to be a low tame trail rider to a gurgling, rumbling, straight through bat out of hell flying through the dunes! You be the deciding factor.

The dual resonated exhaust was an early creation for us in the UTV world. We wanted to develop a lightweight exhaust system which would be nestled together with a simple cradle bracket. Polished tubes and resonators make this exhaust an easy visual and performance upgrade for any RZR application.

While deciding on while accessories to develop for the RZR, the first are which came to mind was the grab bar. Originally intended for you to hold on for dear life while shredding up the mountain, we gave a true utilitarian purpose other than just something to capture your death grip. We fabricated a T-bar with 17mm and 19mm sockets on each end in case you ever end up stranded on the side of the trail without a tire iron.

OEM rubber motor mounts are very squishy and deteriorate quickly. We developed an upgrade for to help stiffen the motor and transmission on even the most extreme build and riding conditions.

TEXTRON WILDCAT XX

 
 

oil RESERVOIR

The Textron XX and Yamaha YXZ both use a dry sump oil system for cooling their engines. With the part crossing over into multiple vehicles, we decided to take on the project. While its main purpose is to purely hold oil, we wanted to improve the visual and performance of the canister. We created a body with external ribbing to act as a heatsink wrapped in a visual shroud the user can customize to their liking.

The XX came out mid 2018 and we wanted to be one of the first companies to have developed an aftermarket exhaust for the vehicle. We designed and fabricated an initial prototype which sounded better than expected. From there it was scanned and digitized in order to smooth out the path for optimal flow. Each fabricated piece had 3D printed trim fixtures and weld fixtures to tack the early production pieces together.
